Marriage is not a mere social construct or a convenience designed to provide mutual benefits. It is a crucible, a place of transformation where two individuals are challenged, refined, and ultimately brought to a higher understanding of themselves and the world around them. The very nature of marriage demands that we confront our own flaws, our blind spots, and the limitations of our perspective. It is through this confrontation that we grow, but it is also through this confrontation that we find conflict, tension, and discomfort.
